The Seacoast Community Chorus was founded in 1971 to give members of the community an opportunity to sing Handel's Messiah. Since 1986, the Chorus has branched out into singing winter and spring concerts, as well as presenting an annual Community Messiah Sing in early December. In June 2005, fifty members of the Chorus participated in a long-anticipated tour of Italy, highlighted by singing a Palestrina Missa Brevis in the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. A non-auditioned chorus the Seacoast Community Chorus welcomes new members. Rehearsals for the 2005-2006 season will begin Thursday September 15th at 7pm in the First Parish Church Hall.
